Coffee & Cake!

Today was a coffee & cake week at WonderMums.
Yum!

These weeks are real casual.  We basically just hang out and chat with each other and catch up.
I thought this was a good chance to just point you to a couple of things, whilst showing off my scones.  I love cooking, and I love taking pictures of food too.

If you're new to WonderMums, you may be wondering what the expectation with food is.  Well, if you're able, these are the weeks to bring something along to share.  (A small something!)  We have toys out for the children to play with.  Have a look at the Housekeeping tab to see a bit more information about WM in general.  On the servery, we have a Tear Fund box where we gratefully accept donations for Lokesh.

We have an exciting new tab on the blog, Parenting Book Reviews!  Mums you know & trust, will be reviewing various books on parenting.  Have a quick squiz!

2012 has started with alot of fun, and we look forward to the rest of the term!

Beach Fun!

Given the forecast, we were concerned this outing wouldn't happen.  However, it dawned clear & sunny and it was a lovely morning!  It rained hard about 1pm after we'd all left, so we were feeling pretty pleased with our day!

In honour of valentines day and a special 30th birthday, we ate lots of cupcakes iced with pink hearts (sorry about the leaking colours, ladies...)

The water was gorgeous!  A couple of us went swimming and it was great!  Tide was in so it was nice and deep.  The kiddies all loved playing in the sand and visiting the fountain.  And the playground at Mission Bay is really cool!  It even has a sand & water play section.  What a fab morning this was!  Check out the album here.

Welcome Baby Rosa!

Rosa arrived safely at 7.15am on the 26th January.

She weighed in at a lovely 7 pound.

What a little sweetie!  We so adore babies at WM, and hanker for cuddles with these newbies.

A huge congratulations to you, Judy and family!  Can't wait to see you.
